Record natural-looking videos in fewer takes. VoicePrompter is the teleprompter app that follows your voice, so your script scrolls as you speak.

No memorizing, no remote, and no fixed scroll speed to fight. Paste your script, tap Play, and speak naturally. The text waits when you pause, keeps pace when you speed up or slow down, and can follow when you skip ahead or go back.

A teleprompter that listens

Traditional teleprompter apps move at a fixed speed. VoicePrompter uses speech recognition to track the words you say against your full script. Pause to think, improvise, repeat a line, or jump to a new section. The autocue stays with you instead of forcing you to chase the text.

Tap any word to start from that point. Optional backward scrolling can return to an earlier line when you correct yourself. Voice commands give you hands-free control while recording.

The floating prompter keeps your notes close to the lens, helping you maintain eye contact instead of looking down at a script. Position the window for your recording setup.

Mirror the text horizontally or vertically when using a beam-splitter teleprompter or autocue. Add stage directions inside [brackets] so they remain visible without being treated as spoken script text.

Simple script management

Paste a script directly from your clipboard or write it in the app. Your script library stays organized and searchable, with fast access to recent scripts. Scripts are saved locally on your device.

Well designed and feature rich. Don't get upset if the website said it would always would be free, bc there's also a free version. I'm trying that one out, if I can get my phone not beep every few seconds once I start the microphone for voice scrolling, then it will be perfect (tip: set phone to silent). Thanks, Kanstanstin! Note: the app does not have the beeping problem, but you can only use it three times before you must either subscribe or purchase for $99. I wish that was within my budget.

Excellent App — Simple, Reliable, and Incredibly Useful! Voice Prompter has quickly become one of my favorite tools for recording videos. It’s easy to use, intuitive, and makes speaking naturally on camera so much easier. Instead of constantly looking down at notes or trying to memorize everything, I can stay focused on the camera and communicate with confidence. Also, the support is incredible! Highly recommended!

So close to perfect! Needs simple remote support (volume up should activate the record button), and some bug-fixing w/ external mic support (I was unable to record audio using my external mic while using voice-controlled scrolling, audio was cutting in and out between the external mic and the phone mic). With those updates this would be my go-to app. I'm ended up using Norton Five Ltd's "Teleprompter for Video" because that app has remote support and handles mics and voice-scrolling flawlessly.
