About this app

Digitwright is a big-number calculator for students, teachers, programmers, puzzle solvers and anyone who wants every digit right. It works like a desk instrument from the 1970s: a glowing display, real keys and a printed tape that unspools the whole answer.

EXACT, NOT APPROXIMATE
• Whole numbers and fractions are kept exactly: (1 ÷ 3) × 3 is 1, and 0.1 + 0.2 is 0.3
• Square roots and powers stay exact when the answer is exact: √2 × √2 = 2, √8 ÷ √2 = 2
• Everything else is correctly rounded to the decimals you choose, and labelled EXACT or ≈

BIG NUMBERS
• Factorials, powers and roots with up to 100,000 digits, such as 10000! (35,660 digits)
• Up to 10,000 decimals: √2, cube roots and real powers such as 2^√2
• Enter numbers as integers, decimals or E-notation (23E18, 3.5E19)

THE FUNCTIONS
• + − × ÷, x², √x, 1/x, yˣ, ˣ√y, 10ˣ and n!
• MOD, GCD and LCM for whole numbers of any size
• Int and Frac, Ans, x⇄y and 10 memories

READ EVERY DIGIT
• The display shows up to 54 digits at once
• View prints the whole result on a paper tape, in groups of five with digit positions
• Copy and paste long numbers to and from other apps
• A table of number names, from billion to centillion and googol
