About this app

The AnthroCalcFetal app uses the World Health Organization (WHO) Fetal Growth Charts [Kiserud T, et al. PLoS Med 2017;14e1002220] for 14–40 weeks of gestational age.

WHO also offers an online calculator at <srhr.org/fetalgrowthcalculator/#/>.

The coefficients of the polynomials representing quantiles of the distributions of the measured fetal parameters are available at <github.com/jcarvalho45/whoFetalGrowth/>.

The estimated fetal weight (EFW) is calculated with Hadlock's third formula [Hadlock FP, et al. Am J Obstet Gynecol 1985;151(3):333–337], using the head circumference (HC), abdominal circumference (AC), and femur length (FL). The EFW can also be entered manually.

Calculations by linear interpolation of centile values using log₁₀ scale. On the Plotter screen, the fetal measurements entered can also be plotted on the WHO Fetal Growth Charts appropriate for the gestational age; the plotter function requires an active Internet connection.
