About this app

FHTC Image Classifier app has been constructed using an AI system (neural network) called Mobilenet, which is capable of recognizing 999 different classes of objects, and does not include any images of people. For instance, the app is able to identify a photo of the keyboard as a keyboard. But it will never identify people as people. This app is suitable for all ages. In addition, this app is a free version and it can be used either online or offline.

Furthermore, the users can take photos using their smartphone or tablet cameras and the app will identify objects in those photos. By trying this app for a few minutes, the users also can learn a lot about computer vision by pointing the camera at various scenes and examining the Classify button.

Main features:
1. Can recognize 999 classes based on training with millions of images.
2. Can change the camera direction by pressing the Toggle button from front to back and vice versa.
3. Have the Text-to-Speech function to speak whatever message it is given.
4. Have attractive graphics and clear audio.
5. No third party ads, no in-app purchases, and no tricks.

How to use:
1. On the main screen, there will appear a message that initially displays “Waiting”.
2. After a few seconds, the message will change to “Ready” and the screen area above the message will show the scene in the phone’s camera.
3. Point the camera at any object and press the Classify button.
4. The app will identify objects in those photos and then display and speak the printed words on the screen area.
