About this app

Overview of functions:
- Copy texts of almost any length from the clipboard into the app
- Call Alexa skill and listen to text
- Store up to 10 texts in the cell phone for later reading
- Read speed adjustable between 20% and 200%.
- Support different languages
- Reading breaks in the text can be achieved with 3 Ps, i.e. ppp.
  Application: e.g. Do not continue cooking recipes until the step is done.

Note: If you are asked to continue reading with the "continue" command, the last text is repeated again if you do not react at all. Then the skill stops. You can also end the skill at any time with "End". The next time you start, the next text block is used to read. Its size can be set in the settings.

One-time activation:
1. Activate the "Read my text" skill on your Alexa device by saying "Alexa, activate the Read my text skill".
2. Install the app, start it and accept the terms of use.
3. Say to your Alexa device: "Alexa, ask read my text for connect"
4. Enter the code that your device will read to you in the app.

The connection and all entered data can be completely deleted in the app at the push of a button.

Then copy a text of almost any length into the light green text field of this app and click on "Read aloud".
Then say "Alexa, start reading my text" to your ALEXA-compatible device and the text will be read comfortably in Alexa's pleasant voice, while you lean back and close your eyes instead of having to read a small text on your cell phone. Also ideal for listening to a text with friends.
In the DEMO version, the length of the text is limited to 400 characters and a maximum of 3 texts can be saved. Only German is supported with regard to pronunciation.

Activate the associated skill once on your Alexa-enabled device
"Alexa, activate the read my text skill".

Then you can call it up with:
"Alexa start reading my text".

In principle, you can copy any text into the text field. This can include areas of PDF files (if in text format), SMS, emails, web pages, Whatsapp messages and more. Sometimes embedded images or videos can interfere with the speech or prevent it completely. Then try again by deleting the multimedia content from the content of the light green text field.
