Surat Al-Ikhlas is a Meccan surah from the Mufassal. It is a short surah of four verses that discusses the oneness of God Almighty and His absolute attributes. Its name reflects its purity in the attributes of God, its purity in the Oneness of God, and its deliverance from polytheism and Hellfire. It was revealed in response to the polytheists' question about God Almighty's lineage.
