♿ ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE AND APP PROTECTION**

AppLock uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect when an app you selected for protection comes to the foreground, so AppLock can display its PIN, pattern, or supported biometric authentication screen.

For related tamper-protection checks, the service may inspect visible window information or UI labels on certain Android Settings, installer, permission-controller, or device-security screens to identify those screens. This information is processed on your device to support AppLock's protection decisions. AppLock does not intentionally store or transmit inspected UI text to AppLock servers.

Before opening Android Accessibility Settings, AppLock displays an in-app disclosure explaining the service's use and asks for your explicit consent. You can decline and continue using AppLock, or enable or disable Accessibility access later in Android Settings. Without this access, automatic protection of selected apps and related tamper-protection checks may not work.
