TAGG is an NFC block that locks your phone, with no monitoring apps and no passwords to remember.
Tap your phone on the block and your apps are covered. Tap it again and they unlock. The block has no battery, doesn't connect to the internet and can't be unlocked from the phone: the lock ends when the phone is tapped on the same block again, when the schedule ends, after 12 hours at most, or when it's released from the web panel.
HOW IT WORKS
1. The school, company or family receives its TAGG blocks.
2. Each person installs this app and grants the permission it asks for.
3. They tap the phone on the block when class, the meeting or homework time starts. It's locked.
4. They tap it again when they leave. It works again.
If the phone has no NFC, the app reads the QR code printed on the block and works just the same.
WHAT KEEPS WORKING WHILE THE PHONE IS LOCKED
Calls, text messages (SMS) and emergencies. TAGG never cuts anyone off: it covers the apps that distract, not the phone.
WHO IT'S FOR
Schools that need a phone policy they can enforce and verify, without collecting phones in a box or arguing with every student. Companies that want screen-free meetings. Families that want dinner or homework time without negotiating.
The account administrator sees on a web dashboard how many phones were locked and for how long. They don't see what anyone did on their phone, because TAGG doesn't know.
USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
This app uses Android's accessibility service for one purpose only: to detect which app is opened while the phone is locked with a TAGG, so it can show the lock screen on top of it. The service is configured without permission to read window content, so TAGG can't see or store what appears on your screen, what you type or your messages. When the phone isn't locked, the service does nothing.
WHAT TAGG DOESN'T DO
It doesn't ask for your location. It doesn't access your photos, contacts or files. It doesn't read your messages. It never sends anywhere which apps you have or use. It shows no ads and sells no data to anyone.
WHAT YOU NEED
A TAGG block, provided by your school or company, or bought for your family. Without a block, the app has nothing to do.
Android 8 or later. NFC recommended; if your phone doesn't have it, the QR code is used.
