Zapping plays the channel list provided by your internet service provider. That's all it is, but it's done well: you load a channel and you're ready to go.
WHAT IT DOES
• Loads M3U playlists and Xtream Code accounts.
• Program guide: the current program is displayed below each channel, and the complete schedule shows what's coming up next.
• Channels are ordered and grouped as sent by your provider, with each channel's logo.
• Favorites, recently viewed channels, and search by name.
• Works the same on your phone and TV.
ON THE TV
It's entirely controlled with the remote. The arrow keys change channels while you watch, the center displays the current program bar, and the guide opens to the side without interrupting the picture.
It has its own on-screen keyboard: many TVs have built-in keyboards that can't handle typing in modern apps, so users can't even load their channel list. Zapping doesn't depend on the TV's keyboard.
ON YOUR PHONE
Double tap for full screen, swipe sideways to change channels, and swipe up and down on the right half for volume. The channel guide is displayed as a list, which is what fits on a vertical screen.
SOUND THAT OTHER PLAYERS CAN'T GET
Many lists use MP2 audio, which Android can't decode: you can see the channel but not hear it. Zapping has its own decoder, and those channels sound great.
NO ACCOUNTS, NO ADS, NO TRACKING
No registration required. No ads. No analytics or trackers. Your lists are saved on your device and never leave it.
IMPORTANT
Zapping does not include channels or content. It's a player: to use it, you need your TV provider's list. The app does not provide, sell, or host any content.
Your channel list, on your TV and your phone. Simple and straightforward.
