Nalma is for two people who miss each other.
A tap here is felt there. That's the whole thing.
WHO IT'S FOR
Made for a long distance relationship: a couple in another city, another country, another time zone. And for every other distance that gets felt — friends who moved away, a family spread out, someone away at school.
You don't have to be a couple. You have to be two people who miss each other.
FOUR WAYS TO BE CLOSE
One tap: i miss you.
From a widget on your home screen, without opening anything, a single tap sends a pulse. On the other side, the phone buzzes. Three words you don't have to type.
Shake at the same time.
With the app open on both phones, shake them at the same time. When they match, both buzz together for three seconds. A high five that crosses any distance.
Shake together.
When you want to be there at the same moment and nothing was arranged, a button calls your person. If they join, you both see the same countdown — 3 · 2 · 1 · now! — and shake on the "now", so nobody has to say "ok, go". If they can't right then, the call waits and they find it when they open the app.
Fingertip to fingertip.
You both rest a finger on the screen and the other print appears on the mirrored side, as if you were on either side of a pane of glass. When the fingers meet, you both feel it. Prints live only while the finger is down: nobody celebrates alone.
HOW IT STARTS
Send your person a link wherever you already talk. If you're together, scanning a code on the other screen is enough. That's it: you're connected.
It's for two. One phone links with one other phone at a time.
WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
There are no accounts: no email, no name, no password.
It doesn't send text, audio or photos. A pulse is a signal without content: there is nothing to read afterwards and nothing kept.
It doesn't use the microphone. The camera is used only to scan the linking code, if you choose that path.
PRICE
It starts with a free trial for both of you. After that, one payment unlocks it for both of you, forever. It is not a subscription.
GOOD TO KNOW
You need two Android phones, one for each person.
For pulses to arrive with the app closed, Android has to let the app run without battery restrictions. The app walks you to that setting the first time.
