Kybalion is a seven-week course through the seven principles of The Kybalion: Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause and Effect, and Gender. One principle a week, one short step a day.
The Kybalion was published in Chicago in 1912 by "Three Initiates", and it presents itself as ancient Hermetic teaching. The Hermetic writings are real and old, but they are a different text. This app keeps the two apart: every claim carries one of three labels.
HERMETIC - found in the ancient Hermetic writings (The Divine Pymander), with the place and the sentence given.
KYBALION - found in the 1912 book, and in nothing older that can be shown.
MODERN - a sentence written for this app.
WHAT A WEEK LOOKS LIKE
• Day 1: the axiom, quoted word for word from chapter II
• Day 2: the chapter that sets the principle out, in brief, with the full text a tap away
• Day 3: a question to sit with, with no right answer
• Day 4: the book's own example: the thermometer, the pendulum, the spinning wheel
• Day 5: an exercise in noticing, never a technique with a promised result
• Day 6: where the principle collides with another, and how the book reconciles them
• Day 7: what the book does not say, and where modern retellings part from it
WHAT ELSE IS INSIDE
• All seven axioms, exactly as printed in 1912
• The fifteen chapters of the book, in full
• For each principle, the passage in the ancient Hermetic writings that comes closest, or a plain note that there is none
• "Which principle": describe a situation in a sentence and get two or three principles to look at it through, each with a question. Matched by keyword, not by judgement
• A glossary of more than thirty terms, each with its level
• A recognition quiz with no score and no clock
• Short articles: a book from 1912, what Hermetic actually means, polarity is not positivity
• A home-screen widget with the day's step, and an optional daily reminder
NO STREAKS
The app counts the days you practised. That number only grows. It does not count days in a row, so there is nothing to break, no badges and no percentages. The course moves when you do: week three begins when week two is done, and after a pause it opens exactly where you stopped.
Everything is on the device. No account, no sign-in, nothing you write is sent anywhere.
Everything in the app is free: all seven weeks, every chapter, the tools and the reminder. It shows ads, and a single one-time purchase removes them.
The seven principles of The Kybalion, day by day, each claim with its source.
