One winding path, followed with a finger.
Labyrinth brings together finger walks, a classical seed-pattern lesson and a referenced catalogue of labyrinth history. Follow the light from the entrance to the centre, pause, then return along the same path. Lift your finger whenever you wish to stop and continue from the marker.
FIVE WALKING DRAWINGS
Explore a seven-circuit classical study, a smaller three-circuit study, Chartres, Julian's Bower at Alkborough and a Roman-inspired quadrant meander. Chartres and Alkborough follow drawings in W. H. Matthews's Mazes and Labyrinths (1922). Modern geometry studies are labelled separately from historical plans.
AT YOUR OWN PACE
An optional light grows and fades with a two-part inhale and exhale rhythm. Adjust each duration from three to eight seconds, switch the light off or choose gentle haptics at turns. There are no breath holds, scores, streaks or deadlines.
A CATALOGUE WITH REFERENCES
Read 50 records covering ancient accounts, Knossian coins, Roman mosaics, church pavements, English turf labyrinths, northern stone settings and hedge mazes. Search by name, place or text and filter by kind. Each record names its source and chapter, with a figure number where available. A daily record offers another place to begin reading.
MAKE THE CLASSICAL SEED
Build a cross, four corners and four dots, then join the ends in growing arches. Move through the eleven illustrated steps at your own pace and see how the spaces between the walls become a route.
READ AND REFLECT
Nine original guides explore the difference between a labyrinth and a maze, Ariadne's thread, Chartres, turf and stone designs, living symbols and the book behind the catalogue. Historical reports, calculated geometry and modern commentary carry separate labels.
Keep an optional intention and private walking notes. A completed inward-and-return walk saves its path and date. Edit or delete reflections whenever you wish. Intentions and journal text stay on your device and are excluded from backup and shared drawings.
SMALL DAILY COMPANIONS
A home-screen widget shows the day's drawing and catalogue title. An optional reminder uses your chosen local time. Share a drawing as a PNG with its title, date, full source credit and app link. No account is required for the walks, catalogue or journal; all of their content is available offline.
All content and features are free. Ads appear outside the walking screen. The optional one-time Remove ads purchase removes advertising only.
