Your digital companion for a new experience of the Pinakothek der Moderne with its four museums about art, graphic, architecture and design. The new Pinakothek der Moderne app allows you to explore all four disciplines simultaneously, to develop new perspectives and to experience them in all their diversity.
Choose out of our curated walks through the exhibitions or explore the richness of the Pinakothek der Moderne on your own. The integrated navigation guides you to the exhibit of your choice and provides you a new experience with the aid of text, audio and video. Scan the QR codes within an exhibition or search and favour exhibits to personalise your visit in the Pinakothek der Moderne.
The museum overview page provides more information about the current opening hours and arrival options and allows you a better orientation within the building.

To be able to use the Pinakothek der Moderne app, you need a proper internet connection. The Pinakothek der Moderne offers you free wifi within the building. We suggest to activate location tracking to be able to experience all content and information within the app.

Poor user experience, little information on artworks. Navigation useless as room numbers not visible on map, an not even locations of artworks. Also, why could this not be a normal webapp, why do I have to download all this stuff

Thank you for your feedback. We’re updating the navigation to include room numbers. Also, we’re planning on adding a progressive web app in the near future.

The hold the phone close to ear doesn't work. The whole flow is also very cumbersome. It's very hard to find items.

Großartige App für alle, die sich für Moderne Kunst interessieren oder sich einfach die Grundlagen der Bildenden Kunst aneignen möchten. Die App eignet sich sowohl für Besucher der Pinakothek als auch zur einfachen Nutzung von zuhause aus. Die angebotenen Walks geben Einblicke in die verschieden Themenbereiche (Literatur, Architektur, Emanzipation) und Abteilungen des Museums - auf unterhaltsame Weise kann man hier eine Menge lernen. Ich werde die App auf jeden Fall weiterhin regelmäßig nutzen!
