Loci is a creative instrument for making breathtaking generative math art on a touchscreen. Instead of editing endless numbers, you shape beautiful mathematical forms directly on the canvas. Drag arrows, add bends, explore color, and watch intricate structures grow beneath your fingertips in real time.
Inspired by the legendary fractal-flame program Apophysis, Loci rebuilds the experience from the ground up for touch screens. The mathematics are just as deep, but the interface is built around human intuition instead of technical controls. Whether you've never heard of a fractal or have been creating them for years, you'll feel at home.
At its heart, every image begins as a single point wandering across the canvas, guided by the layers you apply, through a mathematical layers that push it around. Each movement leaves behind a tiny colored trace. Millions of these journeys accumulate into extraordinary structures—flowers, nebulae, coral reefs, impossible creatures, and patterns that seem almost alive.
