About this game
(Α΄) 'Lexaskia' means practice with words. This is a Greek word game, which comes from the collection 'Lexipaignia', which was created and developed by the 'Ascholeion' Team (www.asxoleion.gr). At the moment, in the game we use only the Greek language and we only play with Greek words.
(BD) During the game ...:
- Various neural synapses and mnemonic associations are activated or created with all the letters and with many thousands of words.
- The vocabulary of the people who play is disturbed, and their vocabulary is enriched.
- The recall function of memory is enhanced and we practice lexical calculation skills, through successive and comparative movements, from the purely linguistic level to the level of the metalanguage and vice versa.
(DG) "INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES" ...: Like all games, Lexaskia has its own rules, which you can (and should) read carefully and apply, playing with the robot (or, later , with friends).
1st: In the present version, you are playing against a virtual person, our robot. Each game is played in a maximum of five (5) to nine (9) rounds. The person who reaches the first five (5) points / wins wins.
2nd: At the beginning of each round the machine displays five (5) letters of random selection. Players must find words that contain as many of these 5 letters as possible.
3rd: Each letter of the words you invent, gives you points / points from 1 to 28, based on the frequency of this letter in our everyday language. But the points / points that those letters that each time contained in the 5 letters, randomly selected, displayed by the machine, give you are multiplied by 100.
4th: The finally selected word, ie the one that will give you the largest sum of points / points, this is exactly what you have to write in the empty field of our game screen.
5th: Then, the machine will check the word, whether it is misspelled or rewritten or in non-basic type or if it is unknown in our robot. [Note: "Types of non-basic words" are e.g. the words 'flag' and 'walk', while the 'basic types' of the same words are 'flag' and 'walk', i.e. as the words appear at the beginning of all the 'entries' of a good dictionary. ]
6th: If the word is 'ok', then the green 'accept' key is activated and, by clicking on it, the machine displays the result of each round, as well as the final result of 5-9 rounds of the game . We repeat that the person who reaches the first five (5) points / wins wins.
