IMPORTANT: This app needs a real USB stick. Plug a USB-C stick or an OTG adapter with a USB stick into your phone. Without a connected stick, DEVOLTER Backup cannot back up or restore anything.

DEVOLTER Backup saves your photos and videos from your phone directly to a USB stick. No cloud, no account, no sign-in. Your pictures go in one direction only: onto your own storage device, which you hold in your hand.
No third-party servers. No monthly bill for storage space. No worrying about what happens to your family photos when a provider changes its terms.
AS EASY AS THIS

2. Grant access once
3. Tap "Back up"
The assistant guides you step by step. Next time, only new items are backed up - nothing twice.
WHAT THE APP CAN DO
• Back up photos and videos and restore them to your phone
• Your albums are preserved: "Holiday 2025" is also called "Holiday 2025" on the stick
• Large videos are stored as single files and play instantly on a PC
• Readable on a PC even without our app: plug in the stick, unzip, done
• Pick individual photos and videos with preview thumbnails (Premium)
• Keeps running in the background, with a progress display
• If the stick is accidentally unplugged, the app resumes afterwards
• A plain-text guide is stored on the stick - still understandable many years from now
THE APP NEVER DELETES ANYTHING
Not on your phone and not on the stick. DEVOLTER Backup never formats anything and never offers to. It only ever adds.
FREE AND PREMIUM
Free: one action per day, back up or restore. From the camera folder, up to 100 photos or up to five smaller videos or one large video. In return you watch a short ad. Because this ad has to be loaded, the free version needs an internet connection for it.
Premium: your entire gallery instead of just the camera folder, unlimited amounts, no daily limits, no ads, restore individual files with previews. And all of it works offline too.
Premium costs €2.99 per month or €17.99 per year - that is about €1.50 a month. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled at any time in the Google Play Store. Prices may differ in other countries; Google shows you the exact price before you buy.
WHAT YOU NEED

• The stick must be formatted as exFAT or FAT32. Android cannot use NTFS here.
HONESTLY SPEAKING
Backups are not password-protected. That is deliberate: a forgotten password would make your photos unrecoverable after years, and nobody could remove the protection - not even us. Keep the stick safe, like a photo album.
On FAT32 sticks, files larger than 4 GB are split automatically. That is a limit of the file system, not of the app.
