The E-MINT app is aimed at all parents who support their children in the field of MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology) and who want to get to know something new themselves.
Registration is required to use the app (also possible without specifying the email address).
This is what parents can find in the app:
- Exciting knowledge content on the topics of training paths in the MINT area, professional knowledge, occupations of the present and future, career choices, future technologies and gender stereotypes
- Short comic strips with thought-provoking polls for parents
- A guide to personal network analysis
Access to the virtual E-MINT Makerspaces
In the virtual E-MINT Makerspaces, parents can use the E-MINT app to implement guided projects on the topics of 3D printing, environmental technology and upcycling directly at home. The materials and tools will be sent by post with the E-MINT Makerspace package. Participation is free, the limited places will be allocated after registration. The E-MINT Makerspace package can be returned free of charge after the workshop phase or it can be bought and stays in the family.
The E-MINT app is part of the research project “E-MINT: Parents as MINT gatekeepers into the digital world” and is funded by the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology as part of the “FEMtech research projects” program. (Project number 873002)
