About this app

With the “eAusweis Check” app you can check digital driving licenses, digital proof of identity and proof of age easily and securely. To do this, simply scan the QR code that the other person shows and you will receive all the necessary information on your device.

This is how it works:
1. Download the “eID Check” app for free. It can be used without login or registration.
2. Allow the app access to the camera and Bluetooth.
3. Choose which certificate or proof you would like to check.
4. The person you are talking to shows the digital ID or proof using the “eIDs” app in the form of a QR code. Scan this with the “eAusweis Check” app: This will show you the current data directly on your smartphone. By linking to ID Austria, the digital ID cards are forgery-proof.

No registration in the app is required.

The Android operating system requires location sharing in order for Bluetooth to work. Your location data is not stored or processed by the “eAusweis Check” app.

The app is constantly being developed and will also include new certificates and certificates in the future
added.
