About this app

The Culture Pass is an ID card that allows people on low incomes to enjoy free cultural offerings at over 1,200 cultural institutions in Austria. The Culture Pass app presents a wide range of cultural offerings from the Hunger for Art and Culture campaign. A street map shows the nearest cultural institutions that offer free admission. You can search by cultural category (museum, stage, music, library, etc.) or by keyword (opera, theater, dance, nature/environment, etc.). It also provides details on individual cultural institutions, such as how to use the Culture Pass. A bookmark function allows you to mark personal favorites. Every Culture Pass holder can also scan their Culture Pass and then present it digitally at the box office along with photo ID. Ticket requests can also be made by email. The app is available in German. Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur, an initiative for free access to art and cultural activities for people at risk of poverty, is a non-profit association based in Vienna (ZVR number: 939921454) and operates the KULTURPASS app. This app is not operated by a government agency or state institution, but exclusively by a non-profit association that cooperates with cultural institutions to facilitate access to cultural events for people at risk of poverty.
