The conference is organized by the Institute for Railways and Transport Economics under the direction of Univ.Prof.Dipl.-Ing.Dr.techn. Peter VEIT organized every year and a half.
The first of these conferences took place in 1954 and was chaired by the professors Dr. Gilli, Dr. Oberndorfer and Dr. Planting organized. The Institute for Railways and Transport Economics has been overseeing this event since 1996.
The aim is to present the latest, most modern developments and designs of rail vehicles for passenger transport, local passenger transport, freight transport, but also trams, regional trains and subways for discussion.
An accompanying exhibition will take place parallel to the conference, which usefully complements the lectures by presenting various products.
