The app recognizes them automatically based on your phone number - if you want. You can also have an SMS PIN sent to you if you do not have your My Magenta password ready.

This app is the only configuration option for my new router as the webpage no longer exists. To use the app you have to register and even then you can barely do more than rename your wifi network ssid and change the password. I guess the only purpose of the app is to collect and sell my personal data and not to actually allow me to configure and fix problems with my router. Although the app can hardly do anything, it still struggles to load pages and has constant popups.

Useless app, lacking most useful/needed router options while having internal upsell advertising and tons of tracking. There was nothing wrong with the old router's 192.168.0.1 web interface, where I could actually change settings I needed. This "app" does almost nothing. On the box, they say it's for configuring the router, but in reality it's just Magenta account management and ads, same as the website.

This app is used for 2 thing: check your magenta contract and configure your router. Router is not available in Self service section, therefore it cannot do half of its purpose, half the stars. Wise people from Magenta decided to disable router Web configuration interface, and only let you manage router though the app, but it does not work. Also when changing app password you cannot paste the new password. In 2023 it's really basic functionality, I don't want to type long, complex passwords.
