The convoy is gone. Somebody has to go and look.
Voidwing is a vertical space shoot 'em up in the spirit of the arcade cabinets and the shareware shooters of the nineties — built for one thumb and a phone screen, not adapted from one.
You fly. It shoots. Drag anywhere on the glass and the ship follows; your guns fire on their own so both eyes stay on the bullets coming the other way.
THE DAILY RUN — NEW EVERY DAY
Every day the game builds one chain of sectors and hands out one ship and one set of guns. Everybody in the world flies exactly that, on that day. Your hangar stays out of it, so a player who installed this morning has the same chance as one who has been at it for months — which is what makes the score worth telling somebody about. Fly it as often as you like; your best run counts. Miss a day and the streak goes back to zero.
THE CAMPAIGN
Eight episodes, sixty-four sectors, eight boss fights that each want a different answer from you. It starts at a lost convoy on the fringe and ends somewhere off the charts. Space sectors and low passes over the surface alternate: fifteen environments, from an asteroid belt and a carmine nebula to glacier shelves, magma flats and the ruins of a foundry that is still running.
ENDLESS MODE
Past the campaign, only depth counts. The sectors keep coming, harder each time, until they finally get you.
BUILD THE SHIP YOU WANT
Eight hulls, from a light interceptor to a gunship that soaks damage. Ten primary weapons and six secondaries, each upgradeable through six ranks. Five systems to raise: armour, shield generator, engine, loot magnet, salvage luck. Salvage pays for all of it, and everything is bought with credits you earned in the game — there is nothing to buy with real money except the option to switch the ads off.
TWENTY MODULES, PICKED MID-RUN
Every few sectors the run offers you a choice of modules: overclocked chambers, a tractor field that drags loot in from the whole sector, a shield cascade, a second gun that mirrors the first. Take a different set and the same run plays differently.
NOTHING IS EVER QUITE THE SAME
Sectors are generated, not scripted — wave patterns, hostile mix, debris and terrain are rolled fresh. On top of that come nine anomalies: a meteor shower crossing the whole sector, an ion storm that stops your shield recharging, a sensor blackout that only resolves hostiles at close range, a bounty run that pays double and shoots back faster. Eighteen hostile types learn the same lesson at different speeds.
PLAYS ANYWHERE
No account, no sign-up, no login. No internet needed to play — on a plane, in a tunnel, on the underground. Portrait, one hand, pause whenever you need to. It is drawn rather than rendered, so it stays smooth on modest hardware.
FAIR ABOUT MONEY
No energy bars, no timers, no waiting to keep playing, no loot boxes. Ads are short, they sit between sectors, and they are always optional to watch for a bonus. One single in-app purchase removes them for good and doubles your salvage permanently. That is the whole business model.
If you ever fed coins into a vertical arcade shooter, or spent an afternoon on a shmup that came on a floppy disk, you already know how to fly this one. Single player, offline, and a fresh daily challenge waiting every morning.
A vertical space shoot 'em up. 64 sectors, 8 ships, a new daily run each day.
