About this app

GameVote is designed to make the collection and reporting of voting and review data more efficient. Traditionally this data is often collected manually via paper/email or sms and then collated by a volunteer into a spreadsheet software. GameVote specifically targets sporting codes and in particular team sports where players are often judged on a per match basis and assigned a numeric rating based on their performance. These individual match votes are then collated to provide an overall performance rating for a season which in many cases leads to a best player for the season award. GameVote provides for several voting sources or groups. These groups include Coaches, Team-managers, Parents and Players (pier voting). Voting invitations can be issued via SMS/Text message or directly via the generation of QR Codes. Users of GameVote will be limited to individuals registered as Team Officials. These Officials will generally hold the roles of Team Managers and/or Team Coach’ and they will be invited to join GameVote by the original client subscriber, another user holding a Client Administrator right or a Team Manager.

Other than the initial subscribing Client registration, GameVote will only allow User registration via an invite from an existing user. The invitation process (via email) will direct the prospective user to a registration page where the user will complete a sign-up page providing additional key information (First name, Last name, Mobile phone).

Those users assigned with the Team Manager role will have extended access rights to distribute voting invites, monitor vote submissions and administer team players and voting template configurations. The mobile application will be supported by a web-based application which has expanded reporting capabilities. The mobile application will also provide a basis for Coaches and Team Managers to submit their votes without being issued an invitation via SMS.

The application and database will be hosted in the Azure Cloud Hosting environment and use Microsoft Identity management to manage user access and set-up. An enterprise SQL Server database will be used to store the data.
