About this game

One gap in the glass. Ninety seconds. Get the ice out.

Polymatrix is a physics puzzle about persuading a bottle full of ice floes to leave through a hole that is never quite big enough. You do it with your hands, drag the water into a current, shake the phone to slosh the pack, tilt it to send everything sliding downhill, and drop water bombs to blast a jam apart.

Then the bottle starts fighting back.

THE BOTTLE GETS MEANER
The water cools as you play. Hot AIR turns to WATER, and WATER thickens toward ICE, and every phase moves differently under your finger. The exit gap narrows level after level. Past halfway the whole bottle begins to tilt, and everything you have not moved yet slides into the corner.

EIGHT POWERS, EARNED NOT GIVEN
Water bombs, bunsen burners, ice breaks, swirls, floods, pebble jets, harpoons and the pole. You start a run with nothing at all, every charge is won from a drop or bought with a crystal.

THINGS THAT WANT YOUR ICE
Colouring dye dissolves floes where it lands. E. coli breed on the ice and eat it. An unkillable jellyfish drinks the water and drags the pack toward it. A near-invisible pocket of superheated water melts anything that drifts over it. Cooking oil glues floes into clumps that only force will tear apart.

GLASS INSIDE THE GLASS
Over a hundred interior structures, trap cubes, dead-end pockets, flow chambers that push you back, air pockets that hold you up, tunnels that are the only way out, and filter screens that only shattered ice can pass.

BONUS ROUNDS
Rescue the spinning coin through the gap and it buys you a game of pinball on a glass table, with real flippers and a lock that opens into multiball. Every seventh bottle opens a whirlpool instead — stir it hard enough and it takes on a life of its own, then tap at the peak for points, power packs, ice crystals or a free level.

NINETY-FOUR LEVELS
The difficulty curve runs all the way to level 94, and it never stops adding things.
