Love this app. It's easy to use, has great identification pictures and descriptions, and the local bird lists are very helpful when looking for an ID in a new place. Only issue is that recently the 'similar birds'function has been faulty (somehow I don't think a brown headed honeyeater and a brush turkey are 'similar')
Good app ruined by 2 things. - 1/People have more than 2 devices these days. Restricting its use to 2 is greedy, especially at the price point. 2/ the search controls don't hold a typed in search after a bird is selected. I get very sick of retyping "parrot"
From the day I installed this app it has regularly crashed when trying to get the list of birds for my GPS location, and that's on two different phones and two different tablets. Dozens of crash reports have been submitted but nothing gets done about it. It's a fault with the app that ruins its most desirable feature! Please fix it! Yes Gibbon Multimedia, the GPS location certainly works, but it only works reliably if you force a stop on the app and restart it from scratch. If it works today it will generally crash tomorrow. There's nothing wrong with the GPS location, the problem is with your app crashing after it has been dormant for some time. Version 1.4 is worse, I have to force stop it every single time I return to the app.
Great app overall.
Great application with good support. Licencing my 2 device licence had a hiccup so it probably pays to check all's ok a few days before leaving the internet for the bush (that gives support time to resolve possible issue and device to be updated).
Earlier version kept crashing. This latest upgrade is very stable. Comprehensive and easy to use.
