Good concept, but the app has some annoying features. There are far too many notifications - there's no point sending me a notification to upgrade my trip when you have already told me that there are none available for my journey. And I don't want to sign up to your newsletter so there's no need to ask several times whenever I open the app. I can't comment on the functionality of the app for bidding or winning, as I've not yet had a journey where there has been upgrades available.

I'd avoid. More often than not you get into a (bot driven?) bidding war where a fisrt class upgrade costs as much as buying a first class ticket from the train provider. Secondly, it's not reliable when it does work. I just successfully bought a first class upgrade only to board the train and find no free seats available. Had to sit in coach class as a result. Their app and Web site does not make refunds easy, unlike the train providers themselves. The service doesn't really work as intended.

The start bid prices are so close to the onboard price that the app seems pointless. *Absolutely priceless - sat on the train, seatfrog gives us the option to upgrade... For only £48, the offer from LNER was £8 less! *Edit* Please be honest here! The on train upgrade offered was LNERs standard upgrade charge. I also dislike that the app is not upfront about the extra fees and charges. We've other trips upcoming and I've yet to find your auctions to be the cheapest means of upgrading!
