Ratings and reviews

The theory is OK, but it's not a lot of use in practice. The real show stopper is the £3 "Platform fee" you get hit with on top of each purchase. It is not shouted about on the site, but quietly hidden in small print. You cannot get an upgrade on the normal train times you might use between 07:00 and 18:00. They just aren't on the availability lists. If you want very late or very early trains there are some choices but it is very limited.

The app mentions that you'll only be charged if you win an auction, but neglects to mention you can't cancel your bid once placed. Also lists a price then adds an extra £3 fee on top of it instead of just stating the real price. Misleading, confusing, and very expensive after moving trains and paying for an upgrade I didn't use. Won't be using again.

Ok. Room for improvement. Platform fee is excessive especially if travelling with 2 or more. I never received my discount for recommending a friend. Outbid despite no watchers, no bids. Placed a high bid only to be outbid by a lower bid!! Then not available. Bonkers and stressful. Wouldn't allow instant higher price upgrade either. Paid separately on the train direct instead. As a result seriously would think twice re using again, especially if travelling with 2 or more.
