Springwick is a story-driven watch repair game: restore customers' treasured watches by hand in seven careful steps, and hear the stories they carry.
Every watch has a story. Emily's grandfather wore his gold watch every Sunday to dance with her grandma. Harold wore his on his first day at the railway in 1962. Captain Ahmed's dive watch spent thirty years at sea. Now they have stopped, and their owners have come to your little workshop.
HOW A REPAIR WORKS
• Inspect: slide a magnifying loupe over the watch to find scratches, dust, fog and hidden faults.
• Disassemble: undo the tiny screws, then lift off the case back and the rotor.
• Clean: brush away decades of dust and old oil, right where you rub.
• Replace: swap the worn parts, but check the size, because the tray always holds a decoy.
• Assemble: oil the jewels, refit the rotor and tighten the screws.
• Test: tune the watch on the timegrapher until the trace runs flat and true.
• Polish: bring up the glass and watch the hands move to the real time as it ticks back to life.
TWELVE CUSTOMERS, FOUR PLACES
Meet 12 customers in a sunny home town, the busy city, a seaside harbour and a vintage shop full of clocks. Each has a watch, a story and a heartfelt thank-you. Take on walk-in jobs for extra coins, and grow your workshop with precision screwdrivers, an ultrasonic cleaner, a timegrapher, a proper watchmaker's bench and a bench lamp. Every watch you restore joins your collection, ticking at the real time.
