About this app

Keep your place in every knitting or crochet project. PurlTap is a practical row counter, stitch counter, round counter and pattern tracker for works in progress.

COUNT ROWS, ROUNDS, STITCHES AND REPEATS
• Create a named counter that matches your project.
• Set an increment and optional target.
• Use large add and subtract controls while you work.
• Undo a mistaken tap or lock the controls.
• Keep repeat counters alongside an overall project count.

USE A CALM FOCUS COUNTER
Open Focus mode when you want the counter without the project-list interface. Focus mode has no banner ad. Your count and active session timer persist locally, so you can leave the screen or app and return without starting over.

TRACK EVERY WORK IN PROGRESS
Create multiple local projects for knitting, crochet and amigurumi. Save yarn, hook or needle, gauge, colour, dye lot and notes. Set each project as active, paused, finished or archived, then review session history and progress.

KEEP YOUR PROJECTS PRIVATE AND PORTABLE
PurlTap works without an account. Project records stay on your device instead of being uploaded to a PurlTap cloud. Add your own project photo, schedule an optional local reminder, and export records as CSV or JSON through the system share sheet when you choose.

NO BUNDLED PATTERNS
PurlTap helps you follow the pattern you already own. It does not include, sell, download or provide a library of knitting or crochet patterns.

ALL FEATURES ARE FREE
There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases or locked tools. Labelled ads may appear on Projects and History. A session-complete interstitial is eligible only after every third completed session and no more than once in ten minutes. Returning app-open ads never appear on first launch or during Focus, require at least 30 seconds away, and are capped to once per four hours. A fully optional rewarded ad can pause every ad for 30 minutes; it unlocks no feature because all tools are already free. Ad availability depends on consent and inventory.

Your own pattern remains the source of truth for stitch instructions, sizing and materials. Check your work before making irreversible changes.
