Vantage is built for families who talk about monitoring openly, not for hiding an app on someone else's phone.
• The app icon can never be hidden — it always appears in the app drawer like any other app.
• Active monitoring shows a live notification on the child's device the whole time it's running — screen sharing, camera check-ins, listening in, and location tracking are never silent.
• Microphone access is a separate, explicit toggle every session — it never turns on automatically alongside camera or screen sharing.
• Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with third parties.
HOW VANTAGE'S CORE FEATURES WORK
Two Android system APIs power Vantage's supervision features:
Accessibility Service — App Lock and Screen Time need to know which app is open on the child's device the instant it opens, so a locked or over-limit app can be covered with a block screen. Android's Accessibility Service is the only API that provides this in real time. Vantage's use is limited to reading the foreground app's package name — it never reads on-screen text, never records what's typed, never changes device settings, and is never used for call recording.
VPN Service — Pause Internet (cuts all network access) and Content Filter (blocks known adult-content domains) both need to inspect network traffic at the device level, which only the VPN Service API allows without root. Vantage's VPN tunnel is entirely local: traffic never leaves the device or passes through any remote server — filtering happens on-device, in real time.
WHAT VANTAGE DOES
• Battery & health — live percentage, temperature, charge rate, and a health score learned from real charge/discharge sessions over time.
• Screen time & app lock — set daily limits per app, lock anything instantly, and see exactly where the time went.
• Location, live and historical — see where a paired device is right now, or trace where it's been over the last day, week, or month.
• Remote check-in — view a screen or camera live when it matters, with an on-screen notice the whole time it's active.
• Network & data usage — Wi-Fi signal, mobile data by app, and who's using the most bandwidth this week.
• Storage & security — free up space, clear junk safely, and get a quick device-health read on what needs attention.
HOW SETUP WORKS
One account, one main supervisor, as many parents and children as your plan allows. Create your Family account, choose a role for each device, and pair devices with a short code — no account-sharing, no email chains.
