With the app the locks got updated. This makes the process of unlocking much faster and more reliable. The process of locking requires the phone and makes it easier for human error to slip in, especially if you are used to the old process. Now locking via the lock itself pauses the ride. Still 5 stars because blue bike support is pragmatic and works with user to avoid extra costs. Perhaps if stations get smart Bluetooth transceivers and close rides for paused Locks I would give 6 star ;-)

Responsive and simple in a good way. I also contacted support about an error message at startup which they got back to me about in less than a week. The problem was then quickly fixed.

Crashes when google services are not available. Forcing users in the google ecosystem. Fasing out the old bankcard style lending is probably next.
