Note : sometimes, the barcode can indicate the country where the head office of the company is located.

Not reliable. I scanned bar codes for products made in Indonesia, France, Great Britain, USA and Canada and all of them came up as United States. It mostly tells you to upgrade apps that are not installed, a poor concept of advertising

poor app. not reliable. packaging that clearly says "made in Canada" shows USA origin. multiple cases. uninstalled. oh, and really annoying pop up ads.

Great idea, but too simplistic, it only tells the country of the redistributor, which very often has imported the product itself. Needs a proper database where each individual barcode is stored. See Yuca for example.
