About this app

Tutoo connects families with private tutors who teach in person, at home.

Find a tutor near you, see their rate, subjects and reviews, pick a time that suits you, and they come to your address. No agency phone calls, no waiting for a callback.

HOW BOOKING WORKS
- Browse tutors sorted by how close they are to your address
- Filter by subject: English, Maths, French, Dutch, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer
- Read reviews from other families before you decide
- Pick any 30-minute slot. Your tutor's usual hours are highlighted, and you can still ask for a time outside them
- The tutor accepts or proposes another time, and you settle it between you without leaving the app

PAY FOR THE TIME ACTUALLY TAUGHT
Your tutor starts the session when the lesson begins and ends it when it finishes. You are billed on that real elapsed time at the tutor's hourly rate, not on a rounded-up block. The amount appears the moment the session ends, and you settle it in cash with your tutor. If they travel beyond their free radius, the travel cost is shown on their profile before you book, never added afterwards.

MESSAGE YOUR TUTOR
Every booking carries its own chat. Send a note about the front door, share a photo of the homework, agree on what to cover next time. Attachments stay private to the two of you.

FOR TUTORS
Tutoo is one app for both sides of the lesson. Once our team has set you up:
- See incoming requests and accept, decline or propose another time
- Set your own hourly rate and your weekly availability
- Start and end each session from your phone; the app does the arithmetic
- Track what you have earned and what is still to be paid
- Message your students and keep every detail on the booking

BUILT AROUND HOW YOU ACTUALLY WORK
- English, French and Dutch throughout: the app, the emails and the notifications
- Push and email alerts for every request, confirmation and reschedule, with a nudge if one slips past you
- Light and dark themes
- Reviews go both ways. Students rate tutors, tutors rate students

SAFETY AND CONTROL
- Tutors cannot sign themselves up. Our team creates every tutor account by hand
- Block anyone you would rather not hear from. A block works in both directions and stops new bookings between you
- Report a message in two taps
- Delete your account from inside the app, whenever you want

Tutoo accounts are held by adults. Parents and guardians book on behalf of their children.

Lessons are currently settled in cash directly with your tutor. In-app payment is on the way.
