WHY SHOULD YOU USE THE ERFGOEDAPP?

The ErfgoedApp is the ideal tool to (re)discover the heritage in your own region, just like in the rest of Flanders and Brussels.
The ErfgoedApp is free. Organizations such as Texture, Trainworld, Guido Gezelle Archive, Sportimonium, Molennetwerk Kempenbroek, Doof Vlaanderen and many other cultural players have developed a progressive digital offer especially for you.
Extra attention is paid to readability and user-friendliness. So no complicated or boring situations. Tours are interactive, creative and to the point.
Follow routes at your own pace, when it suits you best.
You don't have to rent devices or buy paper plans. You just go out with your own smartphone. Is your battery charged? Then you are all set.

The app uses geofencing to send pop-ups during walks, bike rides and quests when you are near the location.

Ratings and reviews

The idea behind the app is great, but the implementation is troublesome. First off, the app crashes frequently (white screen), takes a huge time to load nearby POIs and trying to take a picture with their "AR mode" (which is badly implemented and jaggy at best) doesn't recognize most buildings. We did the 1909 walk in Wingene, but for only about 9 stops, we needed to use 4 hints because the app wouldn't load or the POI wasn't right or it didn't scan the façade of a building correctly.
