About this app

Meteogram shows you a detailed hourly weather forecast, right on your home screen. Not a single icon with a temperature next to it, but a meteogram: a compact graph that shows you when the rain will start, when the sun will break through, and how the temperature moves through the day.

You add the widget, you choose your location (or you let the app detect it automatically), and your forecast is there. You no longer need to open an app.

Why a meteogram?

Most weather widgets show you what the weather is. A meteogram shows you when it changes. One look and you have the whole day in front of you: showers as blue bars, the temperature as a line, cloud cover as a shade in the background, and wind and air pressure as well if you want them. Runners, cyclists, sailors, gardeners and photographers all plan their day around the weather. They get much more out of one small widget than out of a row of weather icons.

About the weather data

Many thanks to MET.NO (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute) for the forecasts. For the longer term, MET.NO uses the ECMWF model, which is one of the best weather models there is. For locations in the United States, you can set the short term forecast to NOAA. You can activate extra weather providers through an in-app subscription.

Is your widget no longer refreshing?

Some manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus) are strict with apps that run in the background. If your widget no longer refreshes, go to your system settings and exclude the app from battery optimisation. After that, everything will work as it should again.

Ratings and reviews

This is a great replacement for Aix Weather. I'd used it for years, but it suddenly wouldn't update the data. It would only use Norwegian WX so the temperature was off, etc. This app is accurate as can be. You can set the meteogram up to extremes if you want, but I like wind speed and direction arrows, cloudiness, and some title items. I really like the day/night bar at the bottom. I played with the non-donate app (which has no ads) for 15 minutes, then paid the donation. Well worth it.

Finally, a weather widget that tells me what I need to know without having to go into a weather app. With a quick glance I can see the temperature, cloud cover, and amount of rain for each hour for the next 24 hours (can be configured for 48 hours) and I can see a weather summary for 5 more days. Pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity can also be added. You can choose the weather provider and both light and dark themes are supported. What would make this widget perfect would be to have options to remove the location from the title and the precipitation from the right y-axis for a cleaner look. These values don't change on my phone so they just clutter the screen.

love your app; can we get some sort of a list of recently searched locations, so we don't have to look them up again? recently the height of my widget keeps resetting and i can't fix it by refreshing it. edit: app doesn't save some settings and I frequently have to change it manually and since the last update it often says updating w/o doing anything, sometimes even after rebooting my device edit II: not possible to configuration uv-index colors etc ❤️‍🩹
