About this app

OnShift is the app you use to record your working hours, view your schedule, and request leave. Your employer uses the OnShift dashboard in the browser, while you use this app on your phone.

You need an invitation or a linking code from your employer to get started. You cannot register anything without a company behind your account.

WHAT YOU DO WITH THE APP

• Clock in and out. One tap to start and one to stop, including your breaks and overtime.

• Check your hours. You can see what is recorded for each day and what your employer has already approved.

• Request an adjustment. Forgetting to clock out happens. You request a correction, and your employer approves or rejects it.

• View your schedule. You can see which shifts and tasks are scheduled for you today and the following days.

• Submit your availability before the schedule is created.

• Request leave and absence. You can track the status of your request and view your balance. You can add a certificate using your camera or from your files.

• Read messages. Your employer reaches your team or department, and your colleagues reach you.

• View your contracts and sign them electronically.

• Request your own data. You can see what OnShift keeps track of regarding you, and you can request a copy or its deletion.

THE TIME CLOCK ON A TABLET

If your team works without a phone in their pocket, your employer installs this app on a tablet mounted on the wall. You enter your PIN code, the clock recognizes you, and confirms within a few seconds. If the network drops, the time clock continues to work: the entries are stored locally and sent later.

WORKS EVEN WITHOUT COVERAGE

An entry you make without a connection remains on your device and is sent as soon as the network is restored. You do not need to do anything yourself.

IN THREE LANGUAGES

The app is available in Dutch, French, and English. You choose your language in your profile. ABOUT YOUR LOCATION

Your employer can set up location monitoring when you clock in or out to determine if you are at the workplace. We ask for this permission separately, and you may refuse it. Clocking in and out will continue to function normally. Exactly what is measured and how long the data is stored is detailed in our privacy policy at onshift.be/privacy.

FOR BELGIAN COMPANIES

OnShift was developed in Belgium and complies with Belgian labor regulations. Hours are recorded in a single register, including adjustments and details of who made them and when, so that your employer can present them later.
