About this app

You walk away from your desk — a meeting, a coffee, a quick errand — and
halfway there the doubt hits: did I lock my PC?

LockPing answers that question from your phone. And solves it with one tap.

HOW IT WORKS
• Check — open the app and see at a glance whether your PCs are on and
locked: green (locked), orange (unlocked) or grey (offline).
• Tap — one of them left open? One tap on the button.
• Locked — the agent on your PC locks the screen and confirms right back.

WINDOWS AND LINUX
Install the free LockPing Agent on your PC (Windows installer, or .rpm/.deb
for Linux) and pair it by scanning a QR code. The agent is open source: you
can read for yourself exactly what a program with locking powers does — and
what it deliberately cannot do.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• No accounts. Your phone and your PC recognise each other through keys that
never leave your own devices.
• End-to-end encrypted. The relay that passes messages along cannot read a
thing.
• No tracking, no ads, no data collection.
• One job, done well: no remote unlock, no screen access, no file access.

LOCK KARMA
A wink on top of the feature: every check counts. Found locked is a green
point, found unlocked a red one, and locking through the app counts as a
rescue. The gauge runs from Swinging Door to The Bunker — and only a
spotless streak reaches The Bunker.

What’s new

New hint: if a PC shows offline while its agent is running, your phone's network (guest wifi, firewall) may be blocking it — try 4G/5G or another network.
