You hold volume-down all the way, and the music or the video is still too loud. Minimize Volume Pro creates the step below your phone's minimum volume, the one the volume buttons can't reach. It turns the whole device down by up to five more levels, for a genuinely quiet sound that is kinder to your ears and to everyone around you.

▼ Main features

◆ Quieter than the minimum
Five levels of reduction, -1 to -5. It works on the device's entire audio output, so it applies to music, video, games, social apps: whatever you are playing.

◆ Presets
Save the volumes you use most, such as "For sleeping", "Earphones" and "Movie", and switch between them with one tap. You can create your own presets too.

◆ Sleep timer
Fades the sound out gradually over the time you set, then switches off by itself. The volume falls away naturally while you drift off. When the timer ends, choose whether to restore your original volume or stay quiet.

◆ Automatic adjustment per app
Turns on automatically while a chosen app is open, and off again when you leave it. Ideal for "only quieten my video app".

◆ Automatic switching by output
Assign a different preset to the speaker, to wired earphones and to Bluetooth. Plug in or connect, and the right volume follows.

◆ Released automatically during calls
The adjustment is released when a call starts and restored when it ends, so you never miss what the other person is saying.

◆ Clarity
Turning the volume down can make dialogue hard to follow. Clarity keeps voices easy to hear even at a very low volume (Android 9 or later, supported devices only).

◆ One tap from anywhere
Quick Settings tile, home screen widget, notification, floating icon and shortcuts. Switch it on and off without opening the app.

◆ Status and diagnostics
If the sound is not getting quieter, open the Status screen. It checks the likely causes for you, and lets you play a test tone or re-apply the effect on the spot.

▼ If you want a quieter camera shutter
Many phones sold in Japan and Korea are built so that the camera shutter sound plays even in silent mode. Because this app turns down the device's entire audio output, on some devices it can make that shutter sound quieter too.

However, close to half of all devices play the shutter sound outside the volume path, and on those it will not become quieter. That is decided by the device manufacturer and cannot be changed by an app, so if this is your main reason for installing, please check it on your own device first.

▼ Before you start
• Because the app attenuates the sound, the effect may not appear in some apps or on some devices
• Over Bluetooth the effect can be weaker if "absolute volume" is enabled on your device (this can be changed in Developer options)
• The app stays resident to hold the adjustment, so a permanent notification is shown in the status bar (you can hide it)
