About this app

Speed Test Pro pairs a one-tap internet speed test with a Wi-Fi analyzer. Beyond download, upload, ping, jitter and packet loss, it shows if your connection can handle video, calls and games. Premium adds a speed meter in the status bar and data usage tracking.

MAIN FEATURES

■ Speed test: download, upload and ping
Tests use the nearest server and several connections at once. The first 1.5 seconds are ignored so a slow start doesn't lower the result, and the test ends early once the speed settles. Results list the server, provider and public IP.

■ Jitter, packet loss and ping under load
Ping is the median of repeated checks; jitter is how much it varies. Packet loss uses ICMP ping and shows "—", never a fake 0%, when blocked. Ping under load is measured during download and upload and graded A+ to F, revealing lag while someone streams.

■ What this connection can do
Good, OK or Slow for web, HD and 4K video, video calls, online games, big downloads and uploads, plus how long 1 GB takes.

■ History, notes and sharing
Every result is saved with speed curves, data used and connection type. Add notes like "Bedroom" and share a text summary.

■ Clear help when a test fails
No internet, a Wi-Fi sign-in page, DNS blocked or no secure connection: you see the cause and the fix, and a note when a VPN is in use. Status check reviews everything the app needs at once.

■ Wi-Fi analyzer
A live signal meter (dBm) plus frequency (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), channel and width, Wi-Fi 4 to 7, security, link speed, IP, router and DNS. Nearby networks sort by signal, name or channel and show the maker from the MAC address, plus an estimated distance.

■ Channel graph and recommendations
See overlapping and free channels. On 2.4 GHz it picks from 1, 6 and 11, and stars rate your router's current channel so you know when to switch.

■ Compare rooms and ping test
Tap "Record this place" in each room to save a 5-second signal average, optionally with a speed test, and find the best router spot. Ping your router, 1.1.1.1 or any host for min, average and max.

PREMIUM FEATURES (ONE-TIME PURCHASE)

■ Speed meter and floating meter
Your current speed as a number in the status bar: total, download, upload or both, in bits or bytes, refreshed every 1 to 3 seconds, also on the lock screen. It pauses with the screen off to save battery and returns after a reboot. A floating meter sits over other apps: drag it anywhere or lock it so touches pass through.

■ Data usage and data plan
Mobile and Wi-Fi usage by day (7 or 30 days), by hour and by app, background data included. Set a monthly or N-day limit to see what's left, a daily budget and a projection, with alerts before you run out. Match your carrier's count and exclude zero-rated apps.

■ Automatic tests and trends
Background tests every 1 to 24 hours (Wi-Fi only if you like) reveal your slow hours from 90 days of hourly averages, plus averages per network. Export CSV as evidence for your provider.

PERMISSIONS
• Location: Android requires it to scan Wi-Fi and show the network name. It's used only to list networks, never recorded or sent. Speed tests, the meter and data usage work without it.
• Usage access: to show data usage. Only amounts are read, never what you do.
• Phone: to record 4G/5G (optional) and read mobile usage on Android 9 and earlier.
• Notifications, display over other apps: for the meter, plan alerts and floating meter.
