It does connect and have a mode to use my cell phone as a mic, but the volume is too low, and there is a significant delay to make it unusable for karaoke.

Very high echo even after switching on echo suppression and keeping the remote speaker at least 10 ft away.

With echo on causes feedback. Turn it off and it's too quiet. Shame.
