About this app

Balbuu is a speech sound play app, created by a speech therapist for children to play at home — alone, with an adult nearby, or while following the work of the speech therapist who treats the child.

The idea is simple: the child hears the sound, sees the mouth making the sound, repeats it, and plays. No pressure, no error screen, no scorecard.

MADE BY THOSE WHO PROVIDE CARE

Balbuu was created by Filipe Silvestre, a speech therapist (CRFa 5-13357), in Anápolis/GO, and is used by more than 20 speech therapists in Brazil with their patients.

The order in which the sounds appear is not random: it follows the sequence of speech sound acquisition described in the literature of the field.

IMPORTANT

Balbuu is a speech stimulation aid. It does NOT replace evaluation and therapy with a speech therapist. If you have doubts about your child's speech, seek a professional.

PRIVACY

The child's voice recordings remain only on the device — they are not sent to us.

We do not ask for or store the child's name or photo.
