About this app

SaniCoco: Mobile Application for use in Coconut Culture

Diagnosing phytosanitary problems is one of the challenges that producers face during the different stages of coconut cultivation. Aiming to facilitate access to information related to this topic, Embrapa Tabuleiros Costeiros developed a mobile application (app) to be made available free of charge and used in the coconut culture production system: SaniCoco mobile.
This application contains a set of information and a collection of photographs about the main pests and diseases of coconut crops. When noticing any abnormality in the plant, the interested party will be able to compare what they see with the photos in the application.
The information includes the probable causal agent, a brief description of the symptoms, occurrence, transmission and available control methods, as well as links to useful publications that can be consulted for additional information.
The use of SaniCoco will contribute to the rational use of management techniques and phytosanitary control in coconut trees, promoting greater environmental sustainability.
