As part of the celebrations of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Brazil, in 2022, the Department and the Graduate Program in History of the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH-Unicamp), will host the VI Meeting of Graduate Students of the Brazilian Society of Studies of the 19th century (SEO), in remote format, between April 26 and 28, 2022.
Founded twenty years ago, the Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos do Oitocentos-SEO, aims to encourage research and teaching of Modern, Contemporary and Brazilian History, contemplating the chronological beacons of the long 19th century, that is, between 1750 and 1930. The Society brings together professors and students from several Brazilian universities, stimulating production and providing the dissemination of research through events and publications. Among the events promoted by SEO, this Meeting is a powerful occasion for academic debate on research in progress at the present time.
