About this app

About this app
If you have noticed that some USB / charging cables charge your device at different times, you can now measure the charging speed with Gorilla Charger.
View and measure your device's battery charge and discharge current.
Some devices may not support the application because they do not have an appropriate measurement chip (or interface) to process the application correctly.
Application may not have mA accuracy. Therefore, it is good to evaluate which charger / USB cable works best on your device.
---
Launch the app and wait 10 seconds (“measuring” is on the display). The charge and discharge current will be shown below.

Features, which is being viewed by the app:
- Time loading / unloading
- State
- Source
- level
- Cheers
- Technology
- Maximum capacity
- Temperature
- voltage
- Manufacturer
- Model
- Android Version
- Construction ID

Current may vary for a few reasons:
- Charger (USB / AC / wireless)
- USB cable
- Phone Type
- Current Tasks Running
- Screen brightness
- Wifi state
- GPS Status

Please do not use the app readings as concrete science. The readings are good enough to measure relatively how chargers and cables act on the same device.
Unfortunately some devices do not provide correct (measured) values, only the maximum possible charge current with the USB cable / charger configuration. This is a firmware problem.
---
Background Information: The app measures battery charge / discharge current. If your phone is not connected to a charger, you will see the negative discharge current. If you connect it to a charger, some of the supplied power will be used to power the phone and the remaining power will be used to recharge the battery.
If your phone consumes 300 mA without a charger connected (-300mA on the display), then a 500 mA charger will allocate 300 mA for the phone to function and the remaining amount - 200 mA (200mA on the display) - for battery charging. .
---
LiPo batteries do not consume the maximum capacity of the charger for as long as it takes to recharge the phone. When the battery of the device is almost full, the charging current will be much lower than when the levels were lower.
