Message from the President:
It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to the XXVIII National Immunization Conference of the Brazilian Society of Immunizations (SBIm), which will be held in Rio de Janeiro from October 21st to 24th, 2026. The world's largest event on immunizations will be guided by the theme "Immunization in Motion: Innovation, Science and Communication".
The proposed theme refers to the evolution of vaccines and immunobiologicals, the innovation resulting from the development of new technologies, and the contribution of science to reducing mortality and morbidity from vaccine-preventable diseases.
The benefits of vaccination for public health are widely recognized and contribute significantly to increasing the life expectancy of the population. In this context, assertive communication assumes a strategic role as a tool for disseminating good practices in vaccinology, based on the highest levels of scientific evidence, with the aim of addressing vaccine hesitancy and expanding vaccination coverage.
Currently, vaccination encompasses all age groups, extends beyond the field of Pediatrics, and becomes a matter of interest to all medical specialties, as well as other health professionals who work in an integrated way to promote the health of Brazilians.
The training and updating of professionals capable of working in this context is fundamental. Over four days, the XXVIII National Immunization Conference of the Brazilian Society of Immunizations (SBIm) will offer opportunities for integration and exchange of experiences with the country's leading experts in the field. The robust scientific program will combine traditional activities and innovative initiatives, making the event memorable.
We hope to count on everyone's participation to deepen our knowledge in the dynamic field of immunizations and promote innovation and the dissemination of excellent scientific information.
Tânia Petraglia
