The Brazilian Translation dates from 1917, being the first complete Bible to be translated from the originals on Brazilian soil. He gained renown for his fidelity to the originals, but left circulation in the middle of the 20th century. For this relaunch, there was an orthographic update, as well as adaptation of the spelling of proper names to the forms used in Almeida's translation.
