About this app

Ponto was born with a clear mission: to help you regain control of your own time. Our motto is: live real life.

We believe that technology should serve you, not the other way around. The cell phone should return to what it should always have been: a tool. With Ponto, you consciously decide when to connect and when to disconnect to live what truly matters.

With the Ponto physical device, you can start and end focus sessions by proximity. During focus, the app helps reduce distractions by blocking the apps you've chosen for studying, working, resting, or being more present in the real world.

What you can do with Ponto:

Using the Android Accessibility Service

Ponto uses the Android Accessibility Service to offer the core functionality of blocking apps during a focus session.

This permission is used exclusively to:

Detect which app is open in the foreground
Identify when a user-selected app should be blocked
Display the Ponto lock screen during focus

Ponto does not use the Accessibility Service to:

Read messages, typed text, passwords, images, or personal screen content
Record audio or calls
Change device settings without permission
Bypass Android privacy controls
Collect personal screen content or share this type of information

The accessibility functionality is:

Optional
Enabled only by the user
Can be disabled at any time in Android settings
Used only for the focus protection feature and blocking of user-selected apps

Without this permission, the app may still function in parts of the flow, but automatic app blocking during focus may not operate correctly.
