"THE CHURCH IN CELLS
The Church of the Lord Jesus is currently experiencing a change of
paradigm around the world. This change is taking place in the vision, structure, and functioning of the Local Church. I am referring to the rescue of the Early Church's practice of gathering in homes.
For many years, several churches have promoted home groups or groups, but as one among many ministries. The view of the neo-estuary church, however, was quite different. In the Early Church, Christians met in homes, not as an option, but because the heart of the Local Church - and the center of its activities - was in its
homes.
This paradigm shift has been called, by some, the Second Reformation. The First Reformation was led by Martin Luther when he took the Church back to its doctrinal origins based only on the Word of God. This Second Reformation is taking the Church back to its original structures in order to restore the “Church in the Home” and place the ministry in the hands of the people. When a Local Church, really goes through this Second Reformation, the groups in the homes (Cells) become the
heart of that church. This type of church has been called the Cell Church (in contrast to the Cell Church - where Cells are one of many options), or Cell Church (in contrast to the Cell Church). "
