Developed by Serpro, the Datavalid app is part of the Datavalid digital identity validation ecosystem and is intended to carry out facial validation with proof of life for users of companies that offer online transaction services and need to provide more agility and security for all involved in these transactions.
With the validation of facial biometrics with proof of life, the user's physical presence can be dispensed with as identity authentication is carried out online, via the internet, via cell phone or tablet (mobile devices).
The Datavalid app enables facial validation with proof of passive liveness, using technology that involves artificial intelligence. The functionality is important to prevent, for example, a possible fraudster from taking another person's photo (selfie) and trying to impersonate her when proving her digital identity through the application.
WHO CAN USE THE DATAVALID APP’S PROOF OF LIFE?
Facial validation with proof of life from the Datavalid app is only applicable to those who have a CNH (National Driving License), as the image of the face captured for facial recognition is validated on the basis of Senatran (National Traffic Secretariat). If you do not have a driver's license, look for the company that asked you to use this app and inform them of this limitation.
WORKS IN 3 STEPS
STEP 1. The Datavalid contracting company generates the PIN, a 9-digit code with letters and numbers, and presents it to you, the user who will undergo facial validation with proof of life through the Datavalid app. The company can display the PIN on the company system screen, send it via SMS or email, depending on how it defines it.
STEP 2. Install the Datavalid app on your cell phone or tablet (mobile device). Open the app, fill in the requested data until you reach the facial reading phase with the cell phone camera to verify that it is you who is, at that moment, undergoing identity validation with proof of life.
STAGE 3. At the end, the contracting company receives information that the life test was carried out successfully.
