Version for mobile devices of the Shallow Water Tide Current Forecast System (SISCORAR).
The application brings several innovations, such as:
.Use of the application completely offline;
.It is possible to generate a forecast for any date in the past and future
between January 1, 1500 and December 31, 2500;
.It has day mode and night mode views;
.The currents are displayed in movement and not just statically;
.It is possible to increase and decrease the speed of the moving chains;
.It is possible to increase and decrease the thickness of the moving chains;
.Allows you to obtain the position using the device's GPS;
.It is possible to view the map inverted.
This application is capable of predicting the intensity and direction of the current generated by the astronomical tide in shallow waters for the geographic area comprised by Guanabara Bay and surrounding areas, in Rio de Janeiro; to Sepetiba Bay and surrounding areas, also in Rio de Janeiro; to the Port of Santos and surrounding areas, in São Paulo and to the Port of Paranaguá and surrounding areas, in Paraná.
Developed by the Oceanographic Modeling and Observation Network (REMO) team through a cooperation agreement between the Navy Hydrography Center (CHM) and Petrobras, the application allows the user to access information about tidal currents in an interactive way , intuitive and friendly.
