About the Union for Life
Since 1995, the Salesians have brought to Brazil a vast movement in favor of the lives of those in situations of exclusion and vulnerability. The Union for Life (UPV) has since involved thousands of partners who have helped the Salesian Network of Social Action to reach countless children, adolescents and young people to bring them citizenship and hope.
The ideal of Don Bosco - father and teacher of the youth and founder of the Salesian Order - of forming "good Christians and honest citizens" also passes through all those who, through their contribution, engage in this struggle for LIFE.
Having in its beginnings acted through correspondence sent by mail, the UPV now comes to you through the application that, in a more practical and agile way, will help you to be part of this great chain of promoting the good.

RSB Social Action
RSB-Social is the branch of RSB that works in the field of Social Projects to offer integral development and better opportunities for citizenship and dignity to more than 87,000 children, adolescents and young people, who are in a situation of vulnerability, exclusion and violence.
The integration and articulation of the Social Works, for a Network action, capable of carrying out the Salesian Pastoral Educational Project, takes place through the strengthening of the Charismatic Identity in all its presences and in the joint assumption of some Fundamental Commitments.
The Charismatic Identity is the Salesian method of acting on the basis of the Preventive System of Don Bosco and the commitment to guarantee the Fundamental Rights that should reach all children, adolescents and young people.
The Fundamental Commitments commit all the Salesian Social Works in six directions:
• Promotion of the human rights of children, adolescents and young people.
• Social management and networking.
• Strengthening the family.
• Socio-educational action of results.
• Building the skills of the new generations for life.
• Development cooperation with social focus.
